Maharashtra Board SSC Class 10th exams from today; timings, guidelines

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will tomorrow (March 1) start the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10 exams. The Maharashtra board Class 10 exams will be held in two shifts — first from 11 am to 2 pm and the next between 3 pm and 6 pm. 

As a reform measure, the board will now stop allowing 10 extra minutes to read the question paper before the start of exam. Rather, students will get the 10 minutes time at the end of the exams.

The Maharashtra board 2024 Class 10 exams will begin with the first language – Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Sindhi, Bengali, Punjabi papers – on the first shift and the second or third language – German and French on the second shift. The SSC exams will be over on March 26.

The Maharashtra board has already released the Maharashtra Class 10 admit cards. Students should remember to carry the hall tickets to the exam centre as no student will be allowed to enter the exam hall without showing the admit card first, along with their school ID.

Last year, as many as 15,29,096 students appeared for the SSC exams across the state out of which 14,34,898 qualified. While as many as 5,26,210 students got a first class, 3,34,015 received a second division and 85,298 students got a pass class.
