PUC results 2016: Girls outperform boys in this year’s Karnataka PUC result 2016
The results of second year pre-University course (class 12) for 2016 have been announced on May 25 (Tuesday) by Primary Education Minister Kimmane Rathnakar in Bengaluru.
The percentage has been dip by 3.34 per cent compare to the previous year. The overall pass percentage is 57.20 while and the last year’s it was 60.54.
As usual girls outperform boys this year too with 64.78 percentage. The highest scored registered is 596 in Science, 594 in Commerce and 585 Arts.
About 5,12,555 students appeared for the examination across the state out of which 3,64,013 students managed clear it.

The pass percentage stands of fresher’s is 68.65 while of private candidates is 25.62 and repeaters percentage is 25.07.
The pre University education department conducted this exam between March 11 to April 12 across the state. The Science stream students pass percentage is 66.25, commerce stream students percentage is 64.16 and arts stream students pass percentage is 42.12.
Rathnakar added that Dakshina Kannad a educational district stands first in the state with 90.48 per cent followed by Udupi, Kodagu, Uttara Kannada districts and Yadagiri district stands last with 44.16 per cent followed by Chitradurga and Gadag districts.

The result is available at http://www.pue.kar.nic.in. The candidates have time till June to apply revaluation and recounting of marks with proscribed fee.
The failed students can appear for supplement examination which will be begin on July 1 to July 13. Those interested candidates can take this examination by paying fee on or before June 6.
