
NTA JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2024 Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slips of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 1 paper 1 exam. The new JEE Main 2024 official website — jeemain.nta.ac.in — is hosting the link to the city intimation slip links active for the remaining days of exam.
NTA had already released the BArch and BPlanning exam city slips. The jeemain.nta.ac.in link is hosting the JEE Main 2024 January exam city intimation slips for paper 2.
The JEE Main 2024 paper 2A and 2B (BArch and BPlanning papers) will be held on January 24 in the second shift. The BTech and BE papers are set to be held on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. The city slips of JEE Main BTech paper and the admit cards of paper 1 and paper 2 are yet to be issued.

“The move is aimed at ensuring there are no cases of use of unfair means or proxy attendance. We have strict mechanisms in place already but the idea is to make the exam completely foolproof to ensure there are zero incidents,” NTA Director Subodh Kumar Singh said.

JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2024 Live Updates: IIT Bombay issues correction over placement data
Only 22 IIT-Bombay students have received Rs one crore plus offers in phase I of placement held in December. Last week, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) announced that a total of 85 candidates had been offered salary packages greater than Rs 1 crore, which was much higher than the 25 such offers last year. However, the institute has today issued a correction.
As per the official statement by the placement office of IIT Bombay, “The phase-I placements (December 1-20, 2023) incorrectly reported the number of accepted Rs one crore plus offers as 85. The correct number of accepted one crore plus offers is 22. All other data reported is confirmed to be correct. The Placement Office of IIT Bombay strongly regrets this mistake.”

NTA has changed the host website address for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024. The new website is jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Earlier, all the information was uploaded on jeemain.nta.nic.in -- a website that was maintained by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). However, the NTA has now developed its own platform for JEE Main 2024.
"Till now, NIC (National Informatics Centre) used to host the online application forms of the JEE Main. Now NTA has developed this new platform and is in the process of using its own server for activities related to hosting the online application forms, and generating the city intimation slip, admit card, and score card, etc," a senior official from NTA told indianexpress.com.

The 2023 topper of JEE Advanced scored 341/ 360, which was comparatively lower in 2022 as R K Shishir, the JEE Advanced topper in 2022, scored 314 out of a total 360. It was the lowest in five years. A similar trend was seen in female toppers as the marks scored by CRL 56 in JEE Advanced 2023 was 298/ 360, which was higher than the CRL 16 from 2022’s score 277 out of 360.
Interestingly, the Covid batch of 2020 scored the most in the five-year period between 2019 and 2023. While the JEE Advanced 2020 CRL 1 holder Chirag Falor scored 352/ 360, Kanishka Mittal scored 315 marks out of 360 and bagged CRL 17.
IIT Bombay has been the most preferred IIT for JEE aspirants for the past few years. IIT Bombay has been the top choice for around 90 per cent of top 50 JEE Advanced rankers. As many as 47 out of the top 50 rankers chose IIT Bombay in 2018, while it was 42 in 2019 and 2021, and 46 in 2022 and 2023.

As per the report, the big data and analytics job market is expected to grow from 215K positions in 2023 to over 338K by 2028, with major recruiters such as Amazon, AWS, Bain and Company, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and Google offering competitive yearly remuneration packages ranging from Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 35.1 lakh.
