The NTA has now confirmed to the indianexpress.com that the result will be released within the next four hours. It was earlier reported that the NTA will release the score cards early this week, but the NTA confirmed to indianexpress.com that the result will not be declared till Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the NTA released the final answer key on April 24, which is available on the official JEE website. In this session, NTA dropped 11 questions after objections were raised against the provisional answer key by candidates and experts.

In session 1 JEE Main 2023 exams, out of the 8,23,967 candidates who appeared for the exams, 2,43,928 were female candidates, 5,80,037 male candidates and only two were registered under the third gender category.

The dropped questions can lead to an addition to marks for JEE Main 2023, Session 2 candidates. The NTA has clarified that full marks will be given to candidates who appeared in the exam on a specific date. “For section A, if a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared, irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate,” NTA states in an official document.
The Union Education Ministry had recently clarified that it is not considering any proposal for a one-time relaxation in criteria for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2023.
“After due verification, the affected candidates were allowed to appear in re-examinations held on June 29, 2022 (Shift-2) and June 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-1 and on July 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-2. Moreover, the candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination.
“For the school leaving batch of 2020, the JEE (Main) examination was conducted two times in 2020, four times in 2021 and two times in 2022 giving them sufficient opportunities to take the JEE(Main) examination,” said Sarkar.
It was earlier reported that the NTA will release the score cards early this week, but the NTA confirmed to indianexpress.com that the result will not be declared till Wednesday. The result date and time has still not been confirmed by the NTA yet.

As per Ramesh Batlish of FIITJEE, the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) 2023 qualifying cut-off (as per NTA percentile score) for JEE Advanced 2023 for the General category students will be 88 to 80. For EWS category, he believes it would be around 63 to 68, for OBC-NCL it would be 66 to 70. Check expected cut off list for other categories
No, candidates cannot raise objections to the answer key now. Challenges could be raised to provisional answer key after which experts go through the objection and make changes if required.
According to the final answer key released by the NTA, 11 questions have been dropped. This decision was taken after candidates raised objections against the provisional answer keys.
The eligibility criterion for JEE Main 2023 is that the candidates who have passed the Class 12/ equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023, irrespective of their age, can appear in the JEE examination. Candidates who passed Class 12/ equivalent examination in 2020 or before, as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2024, can also appear for the entrance exam.
As of now, the NTA has not confirmed any date and time of releasing the JEE Main 2023, session 2 result. Once announced, we will update the date and time of result declaration on this page.
