IndiaAI invites nominations from BTech, MTech students, PhD scholars for fellowships

IndiaAI- Independent Business Division (IBD) is inviting nominations from BTech, MTech students and PhD scholars for IndiaAI fellowship. The Division is also inviting the top 50 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked research institutes to share their approval to participate in the IndiaAI Fellowship for new PhD candidates researching in Artificial Intelligence.

Interested students can submit their nominations on —indiaai.gov.in/article/proforma-for-submission-of-nominations-for-indiaai-fellowship-under-the-indiaai-mission September by 30.

Nominations for BTech, MTech students 

Nominations for IndiaAI Fellowship from all BTech and MTech students who are undertaking projects in AI. This fellowship aims to support and supplement any existing fellowships and will cover the duration of the project for BTech students for a year, and two years for MTech students.

Eligibility

— The candidate must pursue a full-time BTech course. For MTech, candidate must have completed their third year or should be fresh enrolments.

— BTech students should have completed at least three full-time courses till the last semester that are AI-related.

— BTech students should have attained an overall 80 per cent marks or equivalent grade until the last completed semester.

— In case a student recommended by the institute has less than 80 percent marks, the application must include a justification. Consideration of such applications will be based on the provided justification and the availability of fellowships. For more information, students can visit the official website mentioned above.

Nominations for PhD scholars

For full time PhD scholars researching in the areas of artificial intelligence from the top 50 NIRF ranked research institutes, is the eligibility criteria for scholars. Interested scholars will need approval from their institute, however, such scholars scholars should not have received any scholarship or salary from any other organization at the time of enrolment into IndiaAI PhD Fellowship.

The selection of candidates for the award of the IndiaAI Fellowship will be done based on eligibility, relevance of the research proposal, profile of the student and availability of fellowships at the national level.

IndiaAI comes under the Digital India Corporation (DIC) of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), is the implementation agency of the IndiaAI Mission.
