The exams were held on June 24, 26, 28 and 30. Candidates will now receive the statement of marks by post. If they don’t receive the same within 4 to 5 weeks from the date of declaration, they can write to ICAI at the official email address— dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
ICAI will not publish a merit list for the foundation results. Candidates securing 70 per cent marks or above will be declared as ‘pass with distinction’ on their result card. Candidates need 40 marks in each paper and 50 per cent in aggregate in one sitting to clear the exam.

ICAI has also released the result of the Post Qualification Course Examination - Information Systems Audit (ISA) Assessment Test (July-2023).

No pass certificate will be issued. Only statement of marks will sent to candidates through post within 4 to 5 weeks from date of declaration. If any candidate has secured 70 per cent or above marks, they get the "pass with distinction" remark on their result card.

If any candidate was found to have resorted to unfair means in the examination, the examination committee of ICAI would take disciplinary action against that candidate. The action would be taken after an investigation into the report. As per the official notificaition, if the candidate has written their roll number in place/s other than the space provided for the purpose or writing distinguishing mark symbol, like "OM", "Sri", "Jesus", "786", etc. in the answer book will tantamount to adoption of "Unfair Means”
As per the official notification, “the result of candidates whose eligibility to appear in the exam could not be established for want of submission of documentary evidence by the examinees, when called for, is liable to be withheld. Further, the result of candidates who indulge in unfair means is also liable to be withheld. Such candidates, whose results are withheld, will be sent a written communication in this regard soon after the results.”

Once the candidate has cleared CA Foundation exam, they will be eligible to appear CA Intermediate exam. Upon clearing CA intermediate exam, an aspirant have to do a mandatory articleship for two years. Once the articleship is completed, they can appear for CA final exams.

A graduate or post graduate in Commerce with minimum of 55 per cent of total marks or its equivalent grade. A graduate or post graduate in any other stream with an aggregate of 60 per cent of the total marks or above or its equivalent grade. Or, someone who have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or the Institute of Company Secretary of India are exempted from the exam.
As per the official announcement made by the ICAI, the CA Foundation result is expected to release by today 9 pm or tomorrow.
The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has elected its new president and vice-president for the term 2023-24. Aniket Sunil Talati has been elected as the president of ICAI and Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal as vice president.
The exam was conducted in 274 centres across the country and 8 centres abroad.
In the November/ December 2022 exam, a total of 1,26,015 candidates appeared out of which 36,864 cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 29.25 per cent.
The result will mention the name of the candidate, marks obtained by them, their roll number, overall marks, along with their passing status.
AIR 1 Akshay Jain, AIR 2 Kalpesh Jain and AIR 3 Prakhar Varshney bagged the top ranks of the final exams this time. Speaking of the new syllabus, all three feel that the course is becoming more flexible and open with more options for students to pursue. With the constant amendments, it is coming at par with global standards.

Scanned copies of the evaluated answer books will be hosted on the website. Certified copies of answer books will be provided in normal course, in objective type papers (3 and 4), question papers and relevant answer key will not be provided to candidates. Only the copy of OMR answer sheet will be provided.

There will be negative marking in paper 3 and 4. For each wrong answer ¼ mark will be deducted. “Please note that multiple darkened circles for a question will also be treated as wrong answer in paper 3 and 4,” stated the official notification.
For paper 1 and 2, half or more fractional marks will be rounded off to the next full mark. In paper 3 and 4, any fraction of mark will be rounded off to the next full mark.
There is no provision for improvement of result in foundation exam as per the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. Students who have passed the exam once are not eligible to apply again for the foundation examination.
After the declaration of results, candidates will be sent statement of marks by post. In case candidates do not receive it within 4 to 5 weeks from the date of declaration, they can write to ICAI at dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
Students had the option to answer the papers in English or Hindi. For all candidates who opted for Hindi medium, they were required to answer section B of paper 2 that is, Business Correspondence and Reporting in Englis medium only since the paper is meant to test English language skills of the candidates.
