ICAI CA Foundation Result 2025 declared, 15.09% qualify: Check list of toppers, their scores

According to the data shared by ICAI, a total of 82,662 candidates appeared across 551 exam centres. Out of these, 12,474 candidates successfully passed the examination, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 15.09%.

Among male candidates, 43,389 appeared, and 7,056 passed, recording a pass percentage of 16.26%. Meanwhile, 39,273 female candidates took the exam, of whom 5,418 qualified, yielding a pass percentage of 13.80%.

ICAI CA Foundation Result 2025: Who are this year’s toppers?

According to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the top rank in the CA Foundation Examination for May 2025 was secured by Vrinda Agarwal from Ghaziabad. She scored 362 out of 400 marks, achieving a percentage of 90.5%, and holds roll number 583259.

The second position was bagged by Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar from Mumbai, who scored 359 marks out of 400, with a percentage of 89.75%. His roll number is 613242.

Following closely, the third rank was secured by Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Thane, who obtained 358 out of 400 marks, resulting in a percentage of 89.5%. His roll number is 637725.

The CA exams were held on May 15, 17, 19 and 21 for paper 1 (accountancy), paper 2 (business law), paper 3 (quantitative aptitude – business mathematics, logical reasoning and statistics) and paper 4 (business economics), respectively.

The ICAI CA Foundation result statement of marks will be sent by post, soon after the declaration of CA result. However, in case candidates do not receive the same, for any reason, within four to five weeks from the date of declaration of the ICAI results, they may write to dms_examhelpline@icai.in.

A candidate will be declared to have passed the Foundation Examination if the candidate obtains a minimum of 40 marks in each paper and a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate of all the four papers, in one sitting. In paper 3 and paper 4, there will be negative marking for each wrong answer. One-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Half or more fractional marks only will be rounded off to the next full mark in Paper 1 and 2. Any fraction of mark will be rounded off to the next full mark in paper 3 and 4.

Candidates securing a minimum of 70 per cent marks in CA Foundation 2025 May exam will be declared “Pass with Distinction” and such remarks will be indicated in the Result Card only.

There is no provision for improvement of result of CA Foundation examination. Those who have once passed the ICAI CA Foundation examination are not eligible to apply/ appear afresh/again in the Foundation examination.

ICAI will also allow the candidates to verify their results. The verification fee is Rs 100 per paper.

An examinee has the option of applying for certified copies of his/her evaluated answer books online at eservices.icai.org along with the application fee which is Rs 500 per paper within 30 days from the date of declaration of result. Link of evaluated answer books will be sent through registered email id of the candidate.

Certified copies of answer books will be provided in the normal course with a fee of Rs 500 per paper. ICAI will provide answer books of papers 1 and 2 and OMR answer sheet of papers 3 and 4. Links of the soft copy of the certified answer book and OMR answer sheets will be sent through email in the registered email id of the candidate.
