ICAI CA Foundation Result 2023 (OUT) Updates: Nearly 30% students qualify

Candidates who score 40 marks in each subject and 50 per cent marks in aggregate will be considered qualified in the CA Foundation December 2023- January 2024 exam. The candidates who score over 70 per cent in aggregate in the CA Foundation exam will be given a qualifying status of “pass with distinction”.

Around 30 per cent of students who took the CA Foundation Exam passed, as per a social media post by a CA.

Candidates can check the CA foundation result by using the CA foundation registration number and roll numbers.

The ICAI CA foundation result is out at icai.org. Candidates can check the result at the official result link.

The ICAI foundation result which was supposed to be out by 7 pm, is not out yet.

As per a senior official, the CA foundation exam result will be out today between 6-7 pm. However, the link has not been activated yet. The ICAI announced the "result is likely to be out today" on their official website, however, going by past trends, the CA result can be released anytime now.

The CA result website is icai.nic.in. The CA result website is currently showing the details of inter and final exam results.

Candidates who cannot qualify in this CA foundation 2023 exam, can take the exams set to be held in May/ June 2024.

The Final, Intermediate & PQC Examinations will start from May 2nd 2024 and conclude on May 13th 2024. Foundation Examination is scheduled on June 20th, 22nd, 24th and 26th 2024.

The ICAI held the CA foundation exams on December 31 and January 2, 4, and 6, 2024.

ICAI will provide a qualifying status of “pass with distinction” to the candidates who obtain over 70 per cent marks in aggregate in the CA foundation 2023 December exam.

ICAI will host its annual function tomorrow, February 8 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha will be the chief guest.

The CA December 2023 result link will be made available at icai.org link. Credentials including ICAI registration numbers, roll numbers and date of birth will have to be used to download the CA foundation scorecard.

According to ICAI official, the institute will declare the CA foundation result between 6 pm and 7 pm today, February 7.

ICAI will not release CA foundation exam merit list. Candidates who obtain 70 per cent or above will get a 'Pass with Distinction' remark in their CA foundation result card.

The ICAI CA May / June 2024 examinations will be held at eight overseas examination centres -- Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimpu (Bhutan), Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait and Muscat. The CA exam start time at Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat centres will be 12:30 pm i.e., Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat local time corresponding / equivalent to 2 pm (IST). The exam start time at Bahrain, Doha and Kuwait centre will be 11:30 am i.e., Bahrain / Doha / Kuwait local time corresponding / equivalent to 2 pm (IST). The examination start timing at four Kathmandu (Nepal) centres will be 2:15 pm. Nepal local time corresponding / equivalent to 2 pm (IST). The examination commencement timing at Thimpu (Bhutan) centre will be 2:30 pm. Bhutan local time corresponding / equivalent to 2 pm (IST).

Students will be required to keep the ICAI CA December 2023/ January 2024 foundation exam hall tickets ready to check the CA results. The ICAI registration number, CA foundation roll number and date of birth are the required credentials to check and access the CA 2023 results.

According to some posts by CAs on social media, the ICAI foundation results will be declared at 6 pm.

ICAI will soon be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide career counselling in CBSE schools to make school students aware about the Chartered Accountancy course and the future job opportunities available after completing this professional course. ICAI will also develop some course content for CBSE-affiliated schools in form of modules and videos.

The ICAI will also likely declare the post qualification course exam results today, February 7. Students taking the PQC exam will be able to access and download the Information Systems Audit [ISA] Assessment Test result today at icai.org.

To download ICAI CA foundation 2023-24 result, registration numbers or pin numbers and roll numbers will be required to be keyed in. Candidates of the foundation examination can also get their results via e-mail addresses.

The ICAI CA foundation result is not out yet. The icai.org website will host the CA December 2023/ January 2024 result.

The registration for the CA Foundation June 2024 examination is underway. Candidates can apply for it up to February 23. 

ICAI will conduct the CA exam next in the June 2024 session. The ICAI CA 2024 exam dates are June 20, 22, 24 and 26.

Candidates qualifying CA Foundation will become eligible to submit applications for CA inter exams. CA inter exam is the next level of the CA course.

A total of 1,26,015 candidates had appeared in the CA foundation 20222 exam out of which 36,864 passed. An overall pass percentage of 29.25 per cent was recorded. According to data shared by ICAI, 29.57 per cent male and 28.88 per cent female candidates qualified the CA foundation exam last year.

Going by previous year trends, ICAI generally do not announce CA foundation exam result toppers. 

Candidates obtaining 40 marks in each subject and 50 per cent marks in aggregate will be considered CA foundation qualified.

Candidates will have to use their roll numbers, registration numbers and passwords to access the ICAI CA foundation January 2024 result.
