ICAI CA Foundation, Inter Result 2024 Updates: Meet the toppers

Parami Umesh Parekh from Mumbai has topped the CA inter September 2024 exam. The rank 1 holder has scored 484 marks out of 500. Her percentage is 80.67 per cent. Tanya Gupta from Chennai and Vidhi Jain from New Delhi have bagged the second and third ranks respectively.

In the Intermediate examination held in September 2024, as many as 1,39,646 candidates were admitted according to ICAI data and in the September Foundation examination, 78,209 candidates were admitted.

In the CA Foundation September 2024 exam, as many as 70437 candidates appeared and of them 13858 (19.67%) qualified. 37774 male candidates appeared and 7732 passed (20.47 passing percentage). Of the 32663 female candidates, only 18.76 per cent passed (6126).

In the CA inter group-1 exams, as many as 69,227 candidates appeared. Of them, 10,505 (15.17 per cent) candidates passed and in group 2, of the total 50,760 candidates, as many as 8,117 passed (15.99 per cent). As per data shared by ICAI, in both groups, 23,482 candidates appeared and only 1,330 passed (5.66 per cent).

The ICAI CA group 1 exams were held on September 12, 14 and 17 and group 2 exams were conducted on September 19, 21 and 23. The foundation exams were conducted on September 13, 15, 18 and 20. 

This year, women dominate top ranks in CA Intermediate exams with Mumbai’s Parami Umesh Parekh leading followed by Tanya Gupta and Vidhi Jain. Mumbai-based Parami achieved 80.67 per cent while Gupta from Chennai scored 76.50 per cent and Jain from Delhi has a percentage of 73.50.

In addition to the CA inter and CA final September 2024 result, the ICAI CA inter UNITS result is also declared. The icai.nic.in, icai.org and icaiexam.icai.org are hosting the CA inter UNITS September 2024 result.

Those who pass the CA Inter exam and are seeking articleship should aim to register for CA Final by October 31 to begin their articleship, provided they have completed ITT and GMCS. This registration seeks to help save six months in preparation for the CA Final exams.

Candidates will have to insert six-digit CA inter or foundation roll number to check and download the CA September 2024 result.

The Foundation Course exam will take place on January 12, 14, 16, and 18, 2025. The Intermediate Course exam will be held on January 11, 13, and 15 for Group I, and on January 17, 19, and 21 for Group II.

Candidates scoring 40 marks in all the subject and 50 per cent marks in aggregate will be considered CA Foundation exam qualified.

ICAI will also provide a qualifying status of “pass with distinction” to the candidates who obtain over 70 per cent marks in aggregate in the CA foundation September exam.

To access ICAI CA foundation and CA intern 2024 result, registration numbers or pin numbers and roll numbers will be required to be keyed in. Candidates of the foundation examination can also get their results via e-mail addresses.

Last time, 49,580 male candidates appeared for the exam, of which 7,766 (15.66%) passed the exam. Similarly, 42,320 female candidates appeared and 5,983 (14.14%) passed. The total pass percentage out of 91,900 candidates is 14.96 per cent (13,749).

Once released, the score cards for CA Foundation will be available at the official ICAI website — icai.nic.in, icai.org or icaiexam.icai.org.

“The results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate and Foundation Examinations held in September 2024 are likely to be declared on Wednesday, the 30th October 2024 and the same can be accessed by candidates on the website icai.nic.in,” an official ICAI notice stated.

No, the ICAI is yet to announce the CA result time. The CA inter and foundation result will be announced on October 30.
