Himachal Pradesh Board Exams 2025: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has rescheduled the Class 12 English exam. Earlier, it was scheduled for March 8, but now it will be conducted on March 25. The exam will be held in the second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The HPBOSE was rescheduled due to a suspected paper leak.

Earlier, the HPBOSE exam was postponed in snow-affected areas of remote Pangi in Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti districts.

In 2025, nearly 1.95 lakh students will appear for the Class 10 and 12 board exams. HPBoSE has increased the number of examination centres from 2,250 last year to 2,300 this year. To ensure a fair examination process, apart from the board’s flying squads, other officials at different levels will also deploy their own flying squads to prevent cheating.

Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh government will shut down institutions with low enrollment and below-par standards.

“Institutions with low student enrollment or inadequate educational standards would be closed from the next academic session, and to accommodate affected students, the seats in nearby well-functioning institutions would be increased. And the government would also bear their commuting expenses,” Sukhu said at the annual function of Rajiv Gandhi Government College in Shimla.
He said that the government’s objective is not only to provide degrees but to ensure quality education and that the standard of the government institutions in the state is second to none.

He also said that in the next academic session, co-education would be introduced in the government senior secondary schools at the district headquarters level to bring qualitative changes in the education system.
