(Express image/ representative)The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee today released the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 official information brochure. Students can access the GATE brochure at the official website – gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16.
The application process for the GATE 2025 exam will begin on August 24. The last date to apply for the exam is September 26 (without late fees) and October 7 (with late fees).
GATE will be held in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon over the weekends between February 1 and 16. The forenoon session exams will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the afternoon session exams will be conducted between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm. In 2025, IIT Roorkee is conducting GATE.
GATE 2025 will be held for a total of 30 test papers. Candidates can appear for one or two test papers only. The two test paper combinations must be chosen from the list of combinations. Only one application form will have to be filled even if candidates appear for two test papers. GATE 2025 test papers will be in English and entirely of objective type.
The types of questions in GATE 2025 will include multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. In MCQs, only one out of four options is correct. In MSQs, one or more than one out of four options is/are correct; and for NAT questions, the answer must be keyed in using a virtual keypad.
