Fortune world’s best workplaces 2025: 16 of top 25 companies have operations in India

According to an official statement from Great Place To Work, companies that ranked higher this year did so by outperforming peers on measures of employee pride, trust across both local and global operations.

Sixteen of the 25 companies recognised in the Fortune World’s Best Workplaces 2025 list have operations in India. The list compiled by Great Place To Work, the research partner of Fortune, is based on more than 9 million survey responses representing the experiences of over 25 million workers around the globe.

The list highlights large organisations with more than 5,000 employees that demonstrated consistency in employee trust, workplace fairness, and collaboration across multiple countries. Companies needed to appear on at least five regional Best Workplaces lists to qualify.

This year’s recognised organisations include multinationals from hospitality, technology, healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing. The companies named to the 2025 list are Hilton, DHL Express, Cisco, Accenture, Marriott International, AbbVie, TP, Stryker, Salesforce, MetLife, ServiceNow, Specsavers, Siemens Healthineers, Experian, Nvidia, Cadence, Allianz, Dow, Viatris, Adobe, CrowdStrike, SC Johnson, Trek Bicycle, Hilti, and Admiral Group.

The companies that ranked higher this year did so by outperforming peers on measures of employee pride, trust, and camaraderie across both local and global operations, as per a statement from Great Place To Work.

How are these workplaces selected?

Great Place To Work conducts the global evaluation through its Trust Index™ survey, which gathers confidential employee feedback on organisational culture. Companies are also assessed on their efforts to positively impact communities and advance workplace practices across countries. The organisations must also be ‘Great Place To Work Certified’ to be considered.

Balbir Singh, CEO of Great Place To Work India, noted that sixteen of the twenty-five recognised companies have a strong presence in India, underlining the country’s growing role in global workplace culture. He stated that these organisations “demonstrate how great culture transcends borders,” while contributing to strong employee experiences and organisational performance.
