DU FMS achieves 100% placement, a student grabs Rs 1.02 crore offer

About 210 students had participated in the placement drive this year with an average pay package of Rs 20.5 lakh, an increase of 20% from the previous one

While IITs and IIMs students are famous for landing great salary packages, Delhi University is not far behind. A student from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) has bagged an international pay package of $150,000 (approx Rs1.02 crore), highest in the history of the institution.

About 209 students have participated in the placement drive this year with an average pay package of Rs 20.5 lakh, an increase of 20% from the previous one. “Apart from getting 100 per cent placement, our students have got better pay packages with respect to last year,” said Dr Kavita Singh, Placement Convener.

In the domestic circle, a highest salary package of Rs 66 lakh per annum was offered to a student. The highest domestic compensation is Rs 38 lakh per annum.

The average pay package for female students is Rs 20.9, an increase of 20% from last year while the average package for male students’ is Rs 20.4 lakh, an increase of 21%.

Around 26 per cent students were recruited in the consulting sector (37%). The biggest recruiters were EY Consulting (13), Accenture Strategy (9), Star India (8) ITC (7) and M.H. Alshaya (7).
