The Delhi University recently issued an admission advisory for students who will be applying for admission in the academic year 2023-24. As per the advisory, “before giving the preferences on the CSAS(UG) 2023 portal, the candidates are advised to go through the syllabi of all the programmes in which they wish to join the University, if offered.”

The advisory is available on the official admission website of DU— admission.uod.ac.in. The university authorities have asked the students to go through the syllabi of all the programmes as, “it has been observed by the University that at times candidates opt for programmes with the sole purpose of taking admission to a certain college despite having any prior knowledge or proficiency that is required for pursuing the programme/area of study.”

In order to take admission to Delhi University, candidates will have to appear for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) as well as fill the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) form. In their CSAS form, candidates will be required to give their preferences for combination of programme + college.

The CUET and CSAS were introduced last year by the UGC and DU respectively. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline CUET-UG 2023 till March 30. The CUET UG 2023 exam will be held from May 21 to 31.
