DoE releases Delhi school annual calendar 2024-25

It instructed all heads of schools to ensure that the 220 working days are completed before announcing holidays and academic sessions.

Declaration of list of selected children and waiting list for admission will take place on March 23, after draw of lots is conducted on March 21. On the same day, DoE will commence admission process for Nursery, KG and Class 1. Admission of children placed on the waiting list, if the seat is left vacant, will be processed from April 2 to April 6.

For students from classes 6 to 9, their online admissions will begin in three phases that are, the first phase from April 1 to April 8 up to 5 pm, the second phase from May 1 to May 20 up to 5 pm, and the third phase from July 1 to July 20 up to 5 pm. Submission or verification of documents for admission for class 6th to class 9th in allotted schools will be in three phases that are, the first phase from April 23 to April 30, the second phase from June 11 to June 25, and the third phase from August 2 to August 9.

Admission for classes 10 to 12 for the academic year 2024-25

The issuance of application forms for classes 10 to 12 will be released on April 18, and the last date for receipt of filled-in application forms is April 29. Distribution of admit cards will be on May 6, date of the Common Admission Test (CAT) will be from May 9 from 10 am to 12 noon. Declaration of result of Common Admission Test will be on May 14 and last date of submission of files by concerned HoS to DDE (District) for approval and ID generation will be on May 21.

As per the Delhi school holidays calendar for 2024, the summer vacation will begin from May 11 to June 30, the autumn break will start from October 9 to 11, and the winter vacation from January 1 to 15, 2025.

Class 11 admission 2024 in Delhi schools on the other hand will commence after the declaration of Class 10 results 2023-24.
