
Delhi Police SI Recruitment 2024: The Delhi Police has deferred the joining date for candidates selected under the Sub-Inspector (Executive) Exam 2024, citing “administrative reasons”. The basic training for newly recruited SIs was earlier scheduled to begin on December 1, 2025. However, as per an official notice issued by the Recruitment Branch, the date has now been postponed until further notice.
The Delhi Police, in a statement issued in this regard, has informed candidates that the revised schedule will be communicated in due course. Aspirants have been advised to regularly check the official Delhi Police website for updates. The notice adds that fresh instructions regarding the training programme will be released once the administrative issues are resolved.
The Delhi Police SI (Executive) recruitment is one of the most sought-after entry-level positions in the Delhi Police, with thousands of candidates appearing for the competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Successful candidates undergo rigorous basic training before being deployed across police stations and specialised units in the national capital.
For now, candidates will have to wait for the next official communication from Delhi Police. The notice reiterates the importance of monitoring the recruitment portal for timely updates, ensuring that candidates do not miss further instructions concerning their joining and training schedule.
Sub-Inspector (Executive) – (Male/Female) in Delhi Police carries a pay scale of Level-6 (Rs 35,400 – Rs 1,12,400) and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police. There are 125 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male and 61 for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Female.
