CUET UG 2023: The Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Gharwal University (HNB Garhwal University) is one of the central universities which has adopted Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into its various courses. Last year, the university received 1,11,584 applications for admission into its undergraduate programmes. It has already released the eligibility criteria for admissions into UG (Undergraduate) courses for the upcoming academic session of 2023-2024. CUET

The university take admissions into its UG (undergraduate) and PG (postgraduate) courses on the basis of CUET results after the introduction of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

Scholarships

The HNB Garhwal University provides students with several scholarships, studentships and bursaries. The scholarships are granted as per the Central University rules. The scholarships that university grants out of its own resources are  Merit Scholarship to BEd students and Merit Scholarship to BPL Students. Hostels

The university has three campuses. These three campuses are distantly located from each other – Birla Campus, Srinagar Garhwal with its extension at Chauras Campus, B. Gopal Reddy (BGR) Campus, Pauri and Swami Ram Teerth (SRT) Campus, Badshahithaul, Tehri. The university has hostel facility for boys and girls both. There are total eight girls hostel and seven boys hostel. All the girls hostels are in the Birla Campus, Srinagar. While, there are three boys hostels in the Birla Campus, Srinagar, two in Chauras Campus, Chauras, one in BGR Campus Pauri, and one in SRT Campus Badshahithaul Tehri.

History

The HNB Garhwal University was first established as a state university vide Uttar Pradesh state government on November 23, 1973. Later the university was converted to a Central University on January 15, 2009 by an Act of Parliament i.e. the Central Universities Act 2009.
