CUET UG 2023: BCom, BA English (Hons) most preferred courses in Delhi University

Like every year, most of the DU aspirants hail from New Delhi (88,036 students), followed by students from Uttar Pradesh

A total of 3,04,699 students registered for admission to Delhi University through CUET UG 2023 of which as many as 2,45,239 paid applications fee. Among them, 2,00,551 students filled their preferences. The total number of preferences from all applicants is 1,77,62,437 and the maximum number of preferences filled by applicants is 1,481.

Delhi University is currently in its second phase of admission through the CSAS portal. According to the official calendar, the first seat allocation list will release at 5 pm on August 1. Students will be able to check their allotted course and college at the official DU website — du.ac.in.

This year, too, BCom has emerged as one of the most preferred courses across the university, as a total of 72,769 students applied for the programme. This is closely followed by BCom (Hons) and BA (Hons) English with 67,686 and 62,680 registrations, respectively.

BA (Hons) Political Science was chosen by 53,803 students, followed by BA (Hons) History with 44,446 registrations, BA Program (History + Political Science) with 41,324 registrations, BA Program (English + Political Science) with 38,560 registrations, BA Program (English + Economics) with 35,237 registrations, BA (Hons) Psychology with 33,816 registrations, BA (Hons) Journalism with 32,291 registrations and BSc (Hons) Computer Science with 32,234 registrations.

Like every year, most of the DU aspirants hail from New Delhi (88,036 students). This is followed by Uttar Pradesh (55,685 students) and Haryana (23,442 students). Bihar with 17,919 students and Rajasthan with 10,623 students featured at the fourth and fifth spot respectively.
