CSIR UGC NET June session 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slip for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET 2025). Candidates can download the city slip from the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in.

This year, the joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 will be conducted on a single day—July 28—for five subjects: Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The national-level exam will be held as a computer-based test (CBT) to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and PhD admissions.

CSIR-UGC NET city slips: How to download

Step 1: Visit the official website — csirnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the city slip link given on the homepage

Step 3: Enter your credentials, such as application number and date of birth

Step 4: Submit and view the CSIR UGC NET city intimation slips

Step 5: Download and save the city intimation slips.

It’s important to note that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. While the intimation slip provides details about the likely location of a candidate’s exam centre, the admit card will include personal information, exam details, shift timing, and the complete address of the test venue.

Last year in the December session, 2,38,451 candidates registered for the test, out of which 1,74,785 candidates appeared. The exam covers five subjects, namely, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (which includes Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

This exam qualifies candidates for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointments as Assistant Professors, and admission to Ph.D. programs at universities and colleges across India. It serves as a crucial gateway for individuals pursuing careers in teaching or research.

Meanwhile, the Agency has announced the date to release the results of the UGC NET June session 2025. Candidates will be able to access their results on the official NTA website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The June session scorecards will be issued on July 22, Tuesday. This year, the June session was conducted between June 25 and 29.
