(Representative image/ file)CLAT 2026 Result, Final Answer Key Date and Time: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will announce the results for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 on December 17. A senior member from NLU-Lucknow informed indianexpress.com that the CLAT results are expected by 10 am. “On December 17, before 10 am, the results will be released on the website,” said the official. Once released, candidates will be able to access their CLAT 2026 results on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The CLAT 2026 examination was conducted on December 7 for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by National Law Universities and other participating institutions.
More than 92,000 candidates had registered for CLAT 2026, of whom 88,657 appeared for the examination, reflecting an attendance rate of about 96 per cent. Of the total candidates who appeared, 75,009 took the undergraduate test, while 17,335 appeared for the postgraduate examination.
To check the result, candidates will need to visit the website. Here’s a step by step guide to download scorecard:
Step 1: Visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the CLAT 2026 result link available on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter the registered mobile number and password on the login page.
Step 4: Submit the login details.
Step 5: The CLAT 2026 result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Download and save the scorecard for future reference.
The CLAT 2026 scorecard will carry details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, application number, marks obtained, overall rank and category rank. According to previous years’ timelines, the announcement of results is followed by the start of the centralised counselling process conducted by the consortium.
After the declaration of results, the CNLUs will open registration for CLAT 2026 counselling. Qualified candidates will be required to register online, indicate their preferences for National Law Universities and programmes, and participate in multiple rounds of seat allotment.
Cut-off ranks for each NLU and course are released round-wise during the counselling process, and vary depending on the institution, category and availability of seats. Candidates who are allotted seats must complete document verification and pay the admission fee within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.
