CBSE exams 2016: Day 1 goes smooth

Students said that it was an easy paper and they could finish it in three hours. Essay writing on topics like reservation was predicted, so is the letter writing. There was more focus on the Section C - writing part.

With over 10 lakh students appeared for class 12th Board exams 2016. Most of the students have found the English  paper easy and the questions pretty straight. Though few have complained it to be a little lengthy too.

The English (Elective) -C paper was divided into the following three sections: Section A: Reading (20 marks), Section B: Writing and Grammar (40 marks) and Section C: Literature (40 marks).

Poonam Singh, teacher St Thomas’, New Delhi, Dwarka said, “Students said that it was an easy paper and they could finish it in three hours. Essay writing on topics like reservation was predicted, so is the letter writing. There was more focus on the Section C – writing part.”

Yamini Chopra, a student of Guru Harkishen Public School, India Gate, said, “I was little nervous as I have given least attention to the English subject but fortunately everything went fine. I and my classmates are expecting distinction.”
