CTET December 2025 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2025 notification soon. Once released, candidates will be able to check the document, eligibility, important dates and registration link on its official website at ctet.nic.in.

Once the notification is published, eligible candidates can register and fill out the application form within the specified dates mentioned in the official document. However, before applying, candidates should read the detailed notification carefully to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements and understand the exam process.

The CBSE will announce the CTET 2025 exam dates in the notification itself. Currently, the board has not provided an official update on the schedule.

Eligibility criteria for CTET December 2025 session

The eligibility requirements vary depending on the level of teaching the candidate is applying for:

–Paper I (Classes I–V): Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or equivalent.

–Paper II (Classes VI–VIII): Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with a two-year B.Ed or a four-year integrated BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd degree.

There is no upper age limit to appear for the CTET 2025 examination.

When was the CTET held last year?

The CTET December 2024 session was conducted on December 14 and 15, 2024, with the application window open from September 17 to October 16, 2024. The exam was held in two shifts — Paper II in the morning (9:30 AM to 12:00 PM) and Paper I in the afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:00 pm). Following the results, qualifying certificates were uploaded on DigiLocker for candidates to download.

Meanwhile, Assam education minsiter, Ranoj Pegu announced today that CTET-qualified candidates have been shortlisted for lower and upper-primary teachers.

In a statement on X, he said, “In compliance with Hon’ble Gauhati High Court’s direction, Samagra Shiksha Assam has published the list of shortlisted CTET-qualified candidates for engagement as Assistant Teachers (Contractual) in Lower & Upper Primary Schools. Document Verification will be held from 29th October to 1st November 2025 at the State Mission Office, SSA, Kahilipara.”
