The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the List of Candidates (LOC) submission portal for schools to register students appearing in the Class 10 and 12 board examinations for the 2025–26 academic session. The decision comes after several schools failed to submit their details within the previously prescribed schedule despite multiple reminders. CBSE Class 10th Board 2026 Exams: Know complete date sheet for Exam 1, Exam 2 According to the latest CBSE circular, schools can now submit the LOC with late fees via challan until October 8, 2025 (11:59 pm), and through other payment modes — including Internet banking, UPI, debit/credit cards, NEFT, RTGS, and international payments — until October 11, 2025 (11:59 pm). “All Principals who have still not submitted their LOC are therefore directed to ensure that the LOC for their respective schools is completed and submitted within the prescribed timeframe with late fees,” CBSE stated in its official notification. The board highlighted that despite “repeated reminders, communications, and ample time given”, many affiliated schools failed to upload their data within the earlier deadlines — September 22 for challan payments and September 30 for online payments. The CBSE also confirmed that the portal, which was closed on September 30 without late fees, has now been reopened from October 3 to complete delayed submissions. CBSE opens Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme application window for Class 10 students A senior CBSE official noted that the extension has been provided “as a final opportunity for schools that missed the earlier window.” The official further cautioned that no submissions will be accepted beyond October 11 under any circumstances. “Schools failing to submit their LOCs by the final deadline will bear full responsibility for the non-compliance and any resulting consequences, including the ineligibility of their candidates to appear for the Board Examinations 2026,” the circular, signed by Joint Secretary (Coordination Unit) Satpal Kaur, clearly states. However, CBSE reiterated that this will be the final opportunity for all schools to complete the submission process for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
