The Indian Institution of Management (IIM) Calcutta on August 1 opened the application window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on their official website. Interested candidates can register themselves before September 13 at iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs 2,500 for CAT 2024. Applicants belonging to ST, SC and PwD categories will have to make a fee payment of Rs 1,250.
The aspiring applicants are requested to ensure that the mobile number and email id used for the CAT 2024 application are active throughout the admission process, as the intuition will communicate with candidates with the same contact details.
Step 1 – Visit the official website – iimcat.ac.in
Step 2 – Click on the option, “New candidates registration”, on homepage
Step 3 – Register for CAT 2024 by filling in the required information in the designated field – candidates name, email, date of birth, and county.
Step 4 – Validate by filling in the OTP and later reverify the details
Step 5 – Candidate will receive their login details on the email id
Step 6 – Save the login details
Step 1 – Select the login option under Registration
Step 2 – Login using the email credential
Step 3 – Fill up your personal information such as candidate’s name, guardian name (mother, father and spouse), category, gender, address, emergency contact, and disability (if applicable).
Step 4 – Upload the necessary document like – a passport-size photograph (white background, photo dimension within 1200*1200 pixel), signature (dimension 80 mm* 35 mm) and necessary category certificate if applicable
Step 5 – Click on Save and next option
Step 6 –Candidate will enter their education details of class 10, class 12, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree (if applicable), and other professional degrees (in place of bachelor, if applicable).
Step 7 – If applicable, key in the work experience and process to the next section
Step 8 – Applicant will select the desired programmes provided by IIM to desire to pursue and even the interview city.
Step 9 – Choose and filling the exam city center
Step 10 – Complete the application with fee payment
Step 11 – Save and download the application form.
Last year, a total of 3.28 lakh candidates registered for CAT exam and around 2.88 lakh applicants appeared for the exam. Additionally, it was further observed that in 2023 the registration for various MBA entrance exam increased, by almost 30 per cent for CAT, 25 per cent for SNAP, and MAT by 18 per cent as compared to 2022.
