Bihar Board 12th Result 2023 Updates: Meet the toppers

BSEB claims that in 2022, 1,13,210 students of other boards enrolled in Class 11 of Bihar Board, including 95,204 students from CBSE. As a result of the online enrollment system, about five lakh students of other boards have taken admission in Class 11 of BSEB since 2018. Read report here

For compartment exams, the application form will be available from March 23 till 27. The compartment exam dates will be announced this week and the result will be declared by May 31.

Candidates will have time from March 23 till 29 to apply for scrutiny at the official website. 

Students who secured second spot in all streams will be rewarded Rs 75000, a kindle and a laptop. Third toppers will be rewarded Rs 50,000, a kindle and a laptop. The 4th, 5th and 6th toppers of all streams will be given Rs 15000 and a laptop.

Post 2016 topper controversy that tainted the Bihar Board image, the board summons toppers to their Patna office for verification.

The BSEB inter Class 12 toppers will receive laptops and cash prizes. Girls have secured first rank in all streams. Each girl topper will get Rs 1 lakh, 1 kindle and one laptop, while second and third rank holders will get Rs 75,000, 1 kindle, 1 laptop and Rs 50,000, a laptop and a kindle. The fourth and fifth toppers will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop.

Each topper in all three streams will be given Rs 1 lakh prize money along with one Kindle e-book reader and one laptop.

The overall pass percentage of Bihar Board BSEB Inter exam for all three streams of science, commerce and arts is 83.70%. The results for 13.04 lakh students were published in 26 days.

In case a candidate is not satisfied with their resultthey can apply to have their answers-scripts rechecked. The BSEB inter Class 12 result is available at interbseb.com.

The compartment exam date will be announced this week and the result will be declared in May.

For scrutiny, the candidates can apply from today till March 23.

Electronic watch, Smart watch and even Magnetic watches were not allowed in the Inter exam halls this time.

Somya Sharma and Rajnish Kumar Pathak topped the Commerce stream with 95%, Mohaaddesa topped the Arts stream with 95% and Ayushi Nandan was the Science topper with 94.8%.

This year, commerce stream has recorded highest pass percentage with 93.95 per cent students qualifying the exams. As many as 30,475 students got first division, 12,975 got second and 2,730 got third division. 

In the Bihar board 12th result declared today, 5,13,222 students got first division, a total of 4,87,223 students secured second division and 91,503 students got third division

The Bihar board has announced a cash prize of Rs 25000 for all girls students who have qualified the inter exams. The registration process to get the cash prize will begin on April 3 on the board's website.

The board announced a cash prize of one lakh, a laptop and kindle to top scorers in Bihar inter exams. Rank 2 in all three streams will get 75,000 cash prize, a laptop and kindle while the third rankers will get 50,000 cash prize, a laptop and kindle. For 4th, 5th and 6th rankers, the board will give 25,000 cash prize and a laptop

Girls have topped the inter result in all three streams - commerce, arts and science. In commerce, there is a tie between Soumya Sharma and Rajnish Pathak both of whom score 95 per cent. In Science, Ayushi Nandan has topper the stream with 94.8 per cent marks and Mohaddesa topped arts stream with 95 per cent marks

As amany as 10,91,248 students passed the inter exams which takes the pass percentage to 83.07%. In the stream-wise result Commerce stream has recorded 93.95 pass percentage, Science stream recorded 83.93 per cent and arts recorded 82.74 per cent

This year, girls have topped all three streams - science, arts and commerce.

This time, too, BSEB has become the first ever state board to release the intermediate board exam result.

This year, 13 lakh candidates appeared for the Class 12 exam, out of which 10,51,948 students have successfuly cleared the Inter exams

The BSEB intermediate result has been declared.

As the BSEB Chairman, Anand Kishore, other officials and the State Education Minister Chandrashekhar have reached the BSEB office, the intermediate result and list of toppers will be announced soon.

It is believed that the BSEB Class 10 (Matric) result will likely be declared before March 31.

In 2022, the overall passing percentage was 83.39 per cent for girls. Girls had also dominated Commerce and Arts stream with a passing percentage of 93.89 per cent, and 81.28 per cent respectively. Even in the compartment exams, there were a total of 44,084, out of which 21,073 were girls.

In 2018, BSEB had conducted the Class 12 exams from February 6 to 16, but the result was declared months later on June 6. To ensure that the result gets declared faster than this, the Bihar board decided to implement 50 per cent objective-type questions in the inter exams.

As per the new marking scheme, the minimum mark that must be obtained to pass the intermediate board exams is 30 in every subject. The total marks for every subject is 100 (theory and practicals combined) except for optional subjects which carry 50 marks.

The BSEB website is currently not working.

The state will tomorrow celebrate the Bihar Day (Bihar Diwas), due to which the BSEB is declaring the Intermediate result today.

Like several other state and national boards, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has also been known to have better academic performances by girls, rather than boys. This year, 6,36,432 girls appeared for the BSEB intermediate (class 12) exam. 

The overall pass percentage for girls has increased in the past few years. In 2018, around 4,86,588 girls had successfully cleared the Intermediate exam, which increased to 83.39 per cent in 2022. Read more

The BSEB inter result is being declared within 24 days this time. This year, the exams were conducted from February 1 to 11

The state's education minister has reached the BSEB office, from where he will hold the press conference for the BSEB Class 12 result.

This year, a total of 13,18,227 students appeared for the exam, out of which 6,36,432 were girls and 6,81,795 were boys .

The BSEB will declare the Bihar Board 12th Result 2023 at 2 pm via a press conference.

BSEB) on MArch 3 released the answer key for Class 12 state board exams. The candidates could raise challenges till 5 pm of March 6. The answer key was released for 50 per cent objective questions asked.

In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed

Bihar board inter result will be soon available at the official website- biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in after 2 pm. The students can check the results through the website- biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. Click the ‘result link’ available on the homepage. In the new window, enter registration and roll number. Results will appear on the screen. Download and take a print out for further reference.

Students who appeared for the class 12 exam will be able to request for photocopies of BSEB inter OMR sheets.

In 2019, students got an option to choose a sixth paper. Earlier, there were only five papers carrying total marks of 500. These five papers included paper 1 (language), paper 2 (language), and three compulsory subjects of the selected streams (arts, science, commerce). From 2019 onwards, students were able to choose a sixth paper related to the particular stream or any of the 12 languages as an additional subject.

With the introduction of the sixth paper (additional subject), if a student fails in any one of the papers, the marks of the sixth paper will be evaluated as the main subject.

Here are the names of the toppers from each stream in 2022: 

Arts: Sangam Raj from V.M. Inter College, Gopalganj secured first rank and Shreya Kumari of U.D.M. Girls Inter School, Katihar secured second rank.
Commerce: Ankit Kumar Gupta has topped the commerce stream, and Vinita Sinha and Piyush Kumar have scored the second rank.
Science: Saurav Kumar and Arjun Kumar have got join first rank in the Science stream. 

In 2022, State Education minister announced the Bihar board Class 12 result. The overall pass percentage improved to 80.15%. The pass percentage of girls was 83.39% while for boys was 78.04%
