Delhi Confidential: Voice To Video

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted a video of the new Parliament on Friday and asked followers to share the video with their own voice-over on social media, some Union ministers shared the video without any commentary. Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri, whose ministry is responsible for the construction of the new Parliament, put out the video with his own voice-over, in which he described the building as an “edifice of Amrit Kaal”.

Supporting Circus

Former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi attended the inauguration of the ‘International Circus Festival’ in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, Naqvi said that “preservation and promotion of circus is the need of the hour”, pointing out how the Indian circus industry has been severely hit by the modern modes of entertainment.

Summer Meet

Amid the government’s push to hold events in J&K, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying will hold its summer meet in Srinagar. The two-day meeting, chaired by Animal Husbandry Minister Parshottam Rupala, will begin on World Milk Day on June 1. The Animal Husbandry ministers of the states will take part  in the meet.
