(File Photo)Politician, senior lawyer, and author — Congress’s Abhishek Singhvi wears quite a few hats. Sunday, he was bestowed with yet another title. At a luncheon hosted by the Rajya Sabha MP at his official residence, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal called him Sankatmochan (reliever of troubles). Singhvi appeared for the AAP government in the Supreme Court in many cases, including the party’s legal wrangling with the Centre over the control of Delhi’s administrative services. At the lunch, Kejriwal and AAP’s Delhi minister Atishi broke bread with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Mukul Wasnik, the convenor of the Congress panel responsible for seat-sharing talks with allies.
Selfie CM

The same was the case with Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma. In contrast, Shivraj Singh Chouhan was mostly seen alone and sometimes with a few delegates around him. Even Vasundhara Raje failed to match up to the attention the new Rajasthan CM got.
Parking Plan
While the buildings are still under construction, preparations have begun for government offices to move to the new Common Central Secretariat. Officers in Nirman Bhawan, including of the Housing and Urban Affairs and Health Ministries, have been asked to provide details of how they commute to work so that parking arrangements can be made in the new buildings. It is learnt that the officials have recently been asked to fill in a Google form with details of where they commute from, if they use a personal vehicles (four- or two-wheelers) or public transport, and what is the last-mile connectivity.

BSP chief Mayawati avoids attending social gatherings, including family events hosted by party leaders. She, however, made an exception for the party’s lone MLA in UP, Uma Shankar Singh. Mayawati Sunday attended the wedding ceremony of Singh’s son Prince Yukesh Singh at a five-star hotel in Lucknow and blessed the newly married couple. The BSP MLA’s son got married to Kanika Singh, the daughter of BJP leader and minister in UP cabinet Dinesh Pratap Singh’s brother Brijesh Singh.
