With the first-ever all-women crew the director plans to bring out the female perspective about life

The women’s reservation bill may as well take some more time to come into effect, but that cannot deter women from proving themselves. And making it a perfect event of sorts on the occasion of World’s Women’s Day,Suryatej Prduction announced their latest venture-an all-women crew, film – Sanhita (The Script). Though the cast of the film will have male actors, the production, distribution and other departments will be taken care of by,women only.

“It is not a competition between men and women. Rather,it is an attempt to walk together and showcase what we can do. An all women team signifies the feminine will power and ability and more importantly a perspective, which is different,” says noted director Sumitra Bhave, who will be directing the film. The film is being produced by Neeta Deokar,Madhuri Ashirgade and Amruta Rao.

Talking about the film,Ashirgade, who is also the music director and producer of the film, says,”The feeling is great to work in a all women’s team, its like a dream come true where I find myself be a part of something good and novel. Many movies have highlighted social problems faced by women, but through this movie we want to talk about the beauty of a woman’s mind and her perspective and attitude towards life.”

Pointing to the trend and factors responsible for it,Deokar says,”I have been a part of the industry since long, but sadly,I was not aware of many talented women. This movie has not only given me an opportunity to think and execute it the women’s way,but also know and meet a Dolby-sound mixing expert lady and an expert female cameraman.”

Talking about the general image of women,Rao,says,”It is said a woman is a woman’s enemy, but hardly do people realise that if united, women can be an unbeatable force. The film is celebrating feminism,it is providing solutions to problems rather than complicating issues.”

Talking about her experience,Bhave says that she feels more free and complete, while being a part of this unique project. “The way the trend is catching up and women are proving their mettle in every field,all-women movies will not be a special thing,it will be as natural as just making a movie. I don’t mind confessing that the women factor made me take up this project. Gender doesn’t matter but the view does. This film is about viewpoint of women and not a war against male-dominance.”
