Woman hurt in stove blast

A 35-year-old woman suffered serious burn injuries after a stove blast at her residence in Sanjay Gandhi slum area on Sunday. The injured woman has been identified as Lalita Jagtap. The Chatuhshrungi police said the woman was working when the stove exploded and her clothes caught fire. Senior inspector Ajay Kadam said,“All the family members were out when the accident took place. Some neighbours broke the door and entered the house after they saw fumes coming out.” The woman has suffered 80 per cent burns and is undergoing treatment at Sassoon Hospital. She works as a labourer,the police said.
