Be it Veer Zaara,Delhi-6 or Welcome to Sajjanpur, she is known for the versatility in the roles she plays. Here she is,yet again,in an altogether different role being the team owner at T-10 Gully Cricket Season 2,Ab Har Koi Jeetega and she indeed is very excited about it. “The team is very special to me for two reasons. Firstly,it is my first time as a cricket team owner and secondly the team is called Ludhiana Gullies and Ludhiana is where I belong to,” says Divya Dutta.

Like all her roles, she has taken this one also very seriously. Starting from the selection of the team members,to being there at the stadium to support and cheer up the players, she has been fully involved in the game. And why not,as she puts it,“Cricket is a game every person can associate with. Everyone just loves this game, irrespective of his age, profession or gender.”

When questioned on her all-time favourite cricketer, she replies,“For me,it’s like a favourite film actor. It keeps changing. While I grew up watching and admiring Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev,amongst the recent team,I am particularly fond of Yuvraj Singh and I feel M S Dhoni has natural captaincy skills.”

Interestingly,Dutta herself is quite a sports person. She plays badminton regularly to keep fit and also tries her hand at basketball.

As far as winning or losing is concerned,Divya prefers to go with the flow. “I am here to enjoy the tournament. One can never be confident of winning but yes the spirit of winning is surely there,” she concludes.

Like Divya, actor Rajpal Yadav too agrees that he signed for the Kanpur Gullies mainly because of the close roots he shares with the city. The actor, who possesses the natural skill of tickling the funny bone, belongs to Shahjahanpur, which is on four hours distance from the city,Kanpur. However, due to his busy shooting schedule,he says,he may not be able to be at the stadium for all the matches.

Yadav calls himself a staunch cricket follower and tries to catch up the matches whenever time permits him. “I like the way Virender Sehwag plays the game. He has got his unique style, which makes him a significant member of the Indian team,” says the actor.

When it comes to cricket,it isn’t that the actor has restricted himself to only watch the game. Infact,Yadav plays cricket with a group of his friends whenever he gets time.

On winning the tournament,he says,“It’s too early to predict anything on that front but I am hoping for the best.”
