Military Institute of Training (MILIT) organised a valedictory function for Marine Propulsion Control Technology Course (MPCTC)-52 recently. Commodore D S Chauhan,Commanding Officer,INS Shivaji,was the chief guest for on the occasion.
Of the 56 officers enrolled for the course,45 are from Indian Navy and 11 from Indian Coast Guard, said a release issued by the Press information Bureau,Defence Wing.
MPCTC,which is a ten-week course,commenced on July 9. During the course,the young officers were trained on the important facet of modern control technology in Marine Engineering as they would be shortly proceeding to warships for their first sea appointment and operating & maintaining state-of-the-art equipment onboard.
Slt Mahesh Yadav was awarded Shri Badri Prasad Rolling Trophy for standing first in the overall order of merit and the prestigious Commandants Trophy was awarded to Slt Dixit Velraj for best performer. MILIT is commanded by Air Vice Marshal P P Khandekar.
