Shivaji Sopan Mandhre,a 53-year-old resident of Market Yard,succumbed to swine flu on Sunday afternoon. According to health department officials,he was showing symptoms of swine flu since December 28. He was admitted to Poona Hospital on January 1 and was diabetic,suffered from hepatitis B and had underwent kidney transplantation. He died on Sunday afternoon. With this,the total swine flu deaths in the city has become 153. Anees Alif Shaikh (8) of Kondhwa Khurd,who was also suffering from blood cancer apart from swine flu, failed to respond to treatment and died on Saturday night at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.
