Two dead,swine flu suspected

A nine-month-old baby and an 80-year-old woman,who were admitted to Sassoon General Hospital for suspected swine flu,died on Saturday.

A nine-month-old baby and an 80-year-old woman,who were admitted to Sassoon General Hospital for suspected swine flu,died on Saturday. Both the baby and the woman from Maval taluka were admitted to the hospital on Friday. Swabs of both the persons have been sent for testing and the reports are awaited. On Friday,5,678 persons were screened bringing the number of total persons screened till date to nearly six lakh. At present,there are 10 positive cases while 50 of them have been admitted,44 persons were discharged and 130 were on treatment. Twenty two are on ICU and five are reported to be in serious condition.
