Turn the Tables

While talking about the big names performing at the happening clubs that oversee the nightlife of London...

For UK-based DJ Naz,music is all about helping people to shed their inhibitions and have fun

While talking about the big names performing at the happening clubs that oversee the nightlife of London, his name is definitely one that is remembered for all the right reasons, namely ensuring that audiences are able to let their foot loose on the dance floor without having any second thoughts about the same. And aiming to do the same here for the second time is DJ Naz,who will be performing in the city on Sunday at the Stone Water Grill.

Speaking more about it he says,“Assuming that audiences across the world have similar tastes and performing the same thing everywhere,is not only wrong, but also repetitive. So you can be sure that is not what I have in mind. However the performance on Sunday will be a concoction of world, electronic and progressive music. In addition this will be accompanied by a lot of acoustic instruments.”

DJ Naz,who is a regular at some of the well known clubs like the Pacha,Cargo and the Buddha Bar in London says that restricting oneself to a particular type of music is probably the worst way of playing music for any DJ. “I think that’s what was different earlier on in the field of club music. Everyone was being repetitive which did not help the cause. However now newer artistes are coming in and are bringing in fresher ideas and creativity to the clubs, which is very good for the music scene and the audiences,” he says.

Speaking more about his Jet Set Sound of London,he says, the music is basically about the spirit of the city of London, which in itself is a trend setter of sorts for the club and party music scene across the world. He says,“The sounds are a representation of the city, where so many artistes come to perform and also learn and get inspired.”

On his second performance in the city he says,“The best part about the city is that it is very laid back and free and most importantly it is all accommodating. So performing here is always a bonus as it comes with a nice crowd packed in. As far as my coming here again is concerned I am re-locating to Shanghai next month. I am pretty sure the city will be seeing a lot of me after that.”

(DJ Naz will be performing on Sunday at the Stone Water Grill 5 pm onwards)
