Three minors nabbed while stealing

A 15-year-old was arrested by the Dattawadi police during a routine patrolling on Sunday morning at Sahakarnagar while he was riding a two-wheeler. During investigations,the police recovered a gold chain,a set of earrings,a gold necklace,a mobile and some other ornaments valued at Rs 1.95 lakh.

Investigations revealed that the accused used to open the boots of Activas parked at Gajajan Maharaj Chowk and L R Shinde school in Sahakarnagar. The police have appealed that those who have found their ornaments stolen should contact police sub inspector B R Naikwade on 02024220205. “The accused is an expert in breaking open the boot of Activa scooter,” said Naikwade.

Meanwhile,the Deccan police nabbed two 17-year-olds while they were attempting to lift valuables by breaking open the boot of a Honda Activa near Tukaram Paduka Chowk on the Fergusson College Road on Saturday morning.

The police said that there were a lot of robbery complaints reported from the parking premises of the K 11 Gymnasium at the Tukaram Paduka chowk. So,the police were keeping a vigil at the particular area. On Saturday morning,the policemen saw two minors attempting to lift valuables from a carrier of the two- wheeler belonging to one Latik Arvind Solanki (18),a student who had come to exercise at the gymnasium. The police nabbed the duo. Solanki had lodged a complaint in this regard.

A city court has sent all three to the remand home.
