Set amid protest movements and a failing government machinery,Rahul Da Cunha’s play The Bureaucrat is a political satire on real life problems of the middle class. To be staged in the city on March 21,the play has actors Bhargava-Krishna,Neil Bhoopalam,Jaswinder Singh,Sukant Goel,Aseem Hattangady,Shivani Tanksale and Natasha Azad playing pivotal roles. A political satire lasting less than two hours,takes a look at the times we live in through deceitful Delhi bureaucratic intrigues,back room deals,hidden pasts,convolutions of Indian politics and a man trying to come to terms with his own son,and eventually,himself. It will be performed at Al Fresco,Radisson Hotel,Kharadi. Doors will open at 7.30 pm.

Believing in equal opportunity for men and women,Aruna M Katara,President of International Institute of Information Technology,organised the sixth edition of Womens Prowess,an event to celebrate the strength and courage of women. Film and theatre artiste Vikram Gokhale was chief guest at the event that also saw artist Sujata Dharap,DJ Ma Faiza and Sister Lucy Kurien from Maher interacting with the audience.
