Tecnical glitch marred the first day of University of Pune’s (UoP) online external admission for first-year BA and BCom courses,

resulting in inconvenience to candidates.

While the desired link http://www.unipune.ac.in/external was not available on varsity’s website till evening, the online application system failed to upload syllabus for respective courses, students complained.

Shivaji Ahire, head of varsity’s external section, shrugged off the responsibility. “I am not aware why the link was missing from the website homepage,” he said, asking to get in touch with IT officials.

However,IT officials said they did not receive mandatory instruction on the link to be posted on the website from the external section. The desired link finally appeared on the website by 5 pm.

To apply for external courses, candidates need to register themselves by creating a user name and password and thereafter have to follow laid down procedure described on the link.

The payment facility of direct cash deposit through challan at Bank of Maharashtra / HDFC Bank have been made available by the university.

Submission of online forms will go o
