Techie goes missing at Sinhagad Fort

A 28-year-old engineer who had gone trekking to Sinhagad Fort with her office staff was reported missing on Thursday morning.

A 28-year-old engineer who had gone trekking to Sinhagad Fort with her office staff was reported missing on Thursday morning.

Police said Kavita Ishwar Chikhli,a resident of Kharadi,was working as an engineer with the quality department of a private company in Koregaon Bhima.

She,along with 32 employees of her company,had gone to Sinhagad Fort early morning on Thursday. “The group stopped at a point in the morning and then marched ahead. At around 7.45 am,the group realised that Kavita was not with them. She was also not reachable on her mobile phone. The employees tried to search for her,but failed to locate her. They filed a missing report at Haveli police stationat around 4 pm,” said police sub-inspector R B Pachurkar.

Police said the company staff was preparing for some competition for which they had gone for a trek to Sinhagad Fort. The police has launched a search operation.
