Techie dies in road accident

A 30-year-old software engineer was crushed under the wheels of a truck on Pune Nagar Road near Kharadi late on Thursday night. According to Vimantal police,the victim has been identified as Ganeshkumar Chorkha Singh from Chennai,who was staying in Kharadi. Police have booked truck driver Ramu Ghuge for death due to negligence and rash driving. The accident took place around 9 pm.

Investigating officer Pratap Kolte,assistant police inspector (Vimantal) said,“The truck had got onto the highway from the service road. Singh tried overtake it and was crushed the under its rear wheels as he fell down due to the impact.”

Some people rushed Singh to the hospital,where he was declared dead on arrival.
