S V S High School,the second oldest academic institute in Khadki and run by the South Indian Association (SIA),held its annual day celebrations last week.
As part of the programme,various cultural dances and a skit by students on environment conservation through protection of trees was also performed.
President of MIT Institute,advocate Bhaskar Avhad,was the chief guest for the occasion. Francis David,president,South Indian Association welcomed the guests and soon after the headmistress of the school,Agnes Eric Paul,read out the annual report.
Omprakash Ratnaswamy,vice-president,SIA and Prof S A Kanakraj,general secretary SIA also addressed the gathering. KCB member Sangeeta Gawli gave away the prizes to winning students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Gowri Santhanam.
Kamal Avhad and Manish Anand,vice-president,Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB),Kamlesh Chaskar,chairman,KCB,health committee,were also present on the occasion.
