‘Who wouldn’t want to see their leader in such a high position?’: Sunetra Pawar addresses supporters’ demand to see Ajit take CM seat
Though Ajit Pawar's NCP secured a significant victory with a margin of 1.16 lakh votes, it was still lower than the margin achieved in the last Assembly election.

Hundreds of supporters of Ajit Pawar thronged his residence in Baramati, raising the slogan “Ajit Dada will be the CM of Maharashtra” as they celebrated his victory in the constituency. The celebrations included distribution of sweets and congratulatory messages to his wife and Rajya Sabha MP, Sunetra Pawar, who expressed gratitude and optimism about the future.
Adding to the excitement, Ajit’s sons, Parth and Jay Pawar, made a grand entry in a bike rally alongside their supporters to celebrate the victory, with the color pink dominating the festivities. Sunetra Pawar, moved by the vibrant atmosphere, remarked, “A pinkish environment is the environment of truth”.
Though Ajit Pawar’s NCP secured a significant victory with a margin of 1.16 lakh votes, it was still lower than the margin achieved in the last Assembly election, noted Pawar while addressing the media at Sahyog Bunglow in Baramati.
Speaking from her residence after being greeted by jubilant supporters, Sunetra shared her confidence in Ajit Pawar’s success, given his 35 years of dedication to Baramati, according to her.
“Dada’s 35 years of hard work and commitment to public welfare have paved the way for this victory. These decades of development directly contributed to his win,” she said.
Recalling her experience of campaigning on his behalf, she added, “While attending rallies, I could sense from the public’s reaction that the victory was certain. His work speaks for itself.”
Addressing the desire of Ajit Pawar’s supporters to see him as the Chief Minister, Sunetra remarked, “The numbers look promising, and who wouldn’t want to see their leader in such a high position? This isn’t just our wish — it’s the people’s wish to see him in some high position. We will see what the future holds.”
