Symbiosis International School student,Nikita Parulekar says that proper planning enabled her to score well on the IB grade examination system
Realising the first step towards her dream of a successful career at the United Nations,Nikita Parulekar is a content girl. Having secured a whopping 44 out of 45 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Grade system, the Symbiosis International School student attributes her success to proper guidance and planning.
She says,”I will not say that this exam is easy but it had been my goal to do well without pressurising myself or my parents. I had planned everything since the beginning and duly paid attention in the classroom atmosphere.” Focused and informed,it was Parulekar who wished to study at an IB grade school. A wish that her parents complied with.
Not counting the hours but studying chapter wise, she says that the low teacher-student ratio (1:18) helped her a lot.”My teachers at the school were wonderful which was one of the reasons I never required any extra coaching. My parents supported me constantly throughout,” she says.
A Sopan Baug resident,Parulekar has already secured an admission to the Wharton School,Penssylvania. She says that her counsellor helped her to check her Statement of Purpose, essays and recommendations for the same. She will be pursuing her undergraduate studies in Science and Economics. Post that, she also aims to do an MBA. Apart from extra-cirricular activities, her pet guinea pig and friends, she says, proper time planning and management also helped ensure that she didn’t end up getting pressurised and troubled at the last minute. “I am glad I could manage everything properly,” she says.
