Actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol had recently come down to Lonavala to support veteran actor Tanuja at a fund raiser. Organised by the Lonavala Khandala Citizens Forum (LKCF),it was initiated to keep the towns clean.

Actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol had recently come down to Lonavala to support veteran actor Tanuja at a fund raiser. Organised by the Lonavala Khandala Citizens Forum (LKCF),it was initiated to keep the towns clean. The husband-wife duo had turned out to support Kajol’s mother Tanuja,who is the president of the LKCF. The money collected through the fund raiser will be donated to Export Trading Group which will help move agricultural commodities between regions. It will also be used to increase the local employment and add value to the local economies. The fare had food stalls,games,handicrafts stalls on display in addition to puppet shows and dart game stalls.

Tuned to toons

The Bliss Art Gallery will be exhibiting the works of Rajesh Desai. The theme Glorious Days,as Desai puts it,is a result of his deep rooted passion for the sculptures. He says that each painting is a master piece in its own and had taken months to complete. All the paintings are based in watercolor and the artwork is on imported high quality paper. The exhibition will be held between 9 AM to 6 PM from May 12 to May 31

Cycle Talkies

The cast of the Marathi movie,Taani,was in the city recently to promote the film. It is directed by Sanjeev Kolte and has actors Arun Nalawade and Ketaki Mategaonkar in the lead roles. The film itself is based on a true story about an cycle-rickshaw driver’s daughter and her ambition to succeed and has been produced by Ajay Thakur. He spoke about the difficulties that they faced in Nagpur during the shoot. The movie will release May 17.
