SPPU PET exam: Glitch deems majority students unqualified, corrected results released later
The exam was conducted online across examination centres in Pune, Ahmednagar, and Nashik. The results were made available online through the students’ login portal on September 12.

Students who took the PET (PhD Entrance Test) marathi exam conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) were in for a shock after almost all of them did not qualify in the results declared.
The university said it happened due to technical errors and after students contacted the office about the matter, the result was re-checked and revised and was made available to students.
The PET exam for admission to PhD was conducted by SPPU on August 31. The exam was conducted online across examination centres in Pune, Ahmednagar, and Nashik. The results were made available online through the students’ login portal on September 12.
A student said, “There was some technical error in their system and because of that, almost all students except four or five from Pune centre were declared unqualified. After our complaint, they made revised results available, which I could access through my login.”
Official sources from the university said, “The PET exam result was declared on September 12, 2024. After results were announced, some students of Marathi subject contacted the office about the result. The result was re-checked and the revised result was made available to students who did the Marathi subject via their logins by removing the technical errors.
While re-verifying the results of Marathi, the results of all other subjects were also been verified.”
