The ongoing Pune festival is attracting more and more Puneites with it’s wide array of entertaining events. September 13 experienced a whole load of comic display in the form of a play and a programme of Hindi and Marathi songs. Sangeet Sandhya saw Mohammad Ayyas’s (Sam Gurukul Fame) and team perform at Balgandharva Rangmandir. Much-loved Marathi Songs like Shard sundar Chanderi Rati,Gajanana Shree Ganraya,Ruperi Valut,Mehanichya Panavar and Ya Janmavar Ya Jagnyavar Shatada,along with Hindi songs like Jag Main Sundar Hai do Nam,Woh Jab Yaad Aaye,Aaj Kal Tere Mere,Aisi Lagi Lagane and many more regaled the audience. The comedy play Wa Sunbai Wah by the artistes like Ashok Shindeand Maithlyee Jaokar kept the audience glued to their seats. Another comedy programme called Hasyotsav Ekpatrincha was full of mimicry,shayari,and jokes performed by Banda Joshi,Deelip Halyal,Babasaheb Kharade,Mahendra Ganpule and child artist Harshada Tillu. This program was held at Yashvantrao Chavan Auditorium.

A musical train would steam into the city with the launch of the album named Gitanjali Express S1 – A Journey with Melody by Salil Latey,today at 7 pm,at the Assembly Hall of Azam Campus,near Poona college,Camp. Munavar Pirbhai and poet Najir Fatepuri will be the main guests for the programme.
