Bridging chasms
With an aim to bring management ideals to bridge cultural gaps the Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Universitys Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development will be organising their annual college festival titled C.H.A.S.M. (Cultural Hungama Sports and Management Meet) from March 8 till March 10 and will feature events like Ad making,quizzes,painting all this in addition to events like cricket and chess. Other events include fashion shows dance and software competitions to give the multitude of students participating in the same,a chance to showcase their talents.
Chance pe Dance
For all those who want to set the stage on fire,Pinwheel has organised the Just Dance,competition especially for dance enthusiasts across the city. The competition is open for people above the age of 18 and it has been split into 5 categories namely Jive,Salsa,Cha Cha,Hip Hop and Bollywood. The first stage will be the elimination round where interested candidates can walk in for auditions on March 13 and 14 at Post 91 Koregaon Park. The Grand Finale will be held on March 20 at Ishanya,Yerawada in the midst of Bollywood celebrities.
Be-dazzled
“Jewelry completes a woman,” says actress Deepali Sayyad, the ambassdor of the jewelery store Suvarna Sparsh while describing her tryst with the store and with the shining yellow metal. Present in the city during the inauguration of the third showroom of Suvarna Sparsh,near the Shrimant Dagdusheth Hawai in the city Sayyad believes that jewelery completes a woman.. She says,”With the increasing amount of globalisation,every one wants to wears jewelry adorned with gold and diamonds. And we need shops like this to cater to the need of people.” Also present on the occassion were the directors of Suvarna Sparsh who said that the company will work towards making jewelry items that will suit the pockets of all customers.
