The season of May Queens is round the corner and pre-empting that was the Royal Connaught Boat Club that held its Summer Queen show last Saturday. Fifteen finalists walked down the ramp in three sequences that were interspersed with some energetic dance numbers and an all-men fashion show. The girls oozed confidence and X factor as they took on questions from the judges. While Shweta Yeole ended up as the first runner up and Rutuja Kibe was chosen as the second runner up,the crown was bagged by the vivacious Pooja Shah who incidentally also went home with a load of other sub-titles. Put together by Modsquad, the event has set the ball rolling for a host of such events that promise to rock the month ahead in the city.
