A matter of right
In a step which would make the Right to Information Act 2005 more accessible to citizens,Open Space has organised a certificate course for the same. The comprehensive course will equip citizens with knowledge and skills to use the Act with full knowledge of its provisions. The course,which is to be conducted on March 21 and 22,will be facilitated by RTI activists and experts using interactive methods like presentations,exercises and case studies. The faculty includes RTI activists and experts like Vivek Velankar,Vinita Deshmukh,Shivaji Raut,and Kishori Gadre.

Wine steps
Trampling grapes barefoot has been the traditional way of wine making although machines have taken over now. However,reviving it in style,Vintage Wines Private Limited,makers of the wines Reveilo and Taj Hotels,Resorts and Palaces have come together to make this Sunday,an exciting and glamorous one with a grape crushing event scheduled at the Taj Blue Diamond. The event will have fresh grapes from the vineyards of Vintage Wines being stomped upon with live DJ music and celebrity guests and corporates. A visual delight,the stomping brigade will comprise the city’s socialites,corporates and esteemed patrons.

Flaming hot!
Swedish cosmetics giant Oriflame is all set to raise mercury levels in the city by unveiling their new looks for the summer. The looks,called Doll Face,Smoky Eyes and Red Alert were desgined by Bollywood make-up expert,Albert Chettiar at the launch of Oriflame’s newest office in the city. Speaking on the occasion,Chettiar said,“Women in the city have a great sense of fashion and it has been a great experience to give these looks to the women who assembled here for this event. Moreover it is also important to use the right products to look good and feel good,and I can say with a lot of surety that women here do pay a lot of attention to detail,which is a good thing.” The afternoon saw women turn up in big numbers to try out the three looks created by Oriflame,wherein Doll Face,the look created especially for daytime,saw many takers,the other two looks Red Alert and Smoky Eyes,were appreciated by women ready to experiment with vibrant colours this summer.
