Dignity foundation is organising a five-day film festival for the 50 plus citizens. The elderly will be able to watch films of their times in a retro styled hall. This festival will be held at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies auditorium from April 17 to 21,10 am onwards. The festival will recreate the magic of the 50s,60s and the 70s showcasing a mix of Marathi,English and Hindi movies. The festival will see many film celebrities like Dr Mohan Agashe,Madhav Abhyankar,Achyut Potdar,Divya Sheth Shah,Ashok Shinde,Mohan Parab and Dilip Prabhavalkar as hosts for each movie screening. Films to be screened at the festival are Second Innings,Valu,Anuradha,Roman Holiday,Chalti ka Naam Gaadi and so on. The festival aims at addressing the need of the elderly citizens to watch films belonging to their generation in a theatre and compensate for the limited entertainment options that they can avail of.
