Diwali is a time to shop till you drop! D C Handicrafts and Ministry of Textiles,Government of India,is organising ‘Silk and Cotton World’,an exhibition cum sale,from October 28 November 2 at Sonal Exhibition Hall,Karve Road. The exhibition will have different types of silk like Tassar silk,raw silk,pure silk,Kanchipuram silk sarees,Paithanis and the like. Along with this,tribal paintings will be on display like Sohari from Hazaribagh,Dhokra Art of Jharkhand,jute bags,and different art from Kolkata,Orissa,Rajasthan,Gujarat,Tamil Nadu,Andhra Pradesh and so on.

The Paprika Fashion Nite 2010 that was held at PAPRIKA Hot Rock,Dhole Patil Road,on October 23 saw pretty models from Pune and Mumbai displaying trendy designer wear. Instead of a ramp,the models walked in between the audience,showcasing casual and partywear collections by designer Nilakshi Idnani. The show,choreographed by Sandeep Dharma,was well-received by the invitees who attended it.
